Minutes for meeting held on March 9, 2013

A presentation by Atlantic City Historical Society was given prior to the WPA meeting.

Meeting called to Order at 1:45 PM with nineteen members present.

Minutes of Jan. 12, 2013 were read. It was brought to our attention there was no Treasurers Report in the Minutes and it had been given. Jacque Schmidt made a motion to accept the minutes as corrected, Les Armstrong seconded and the motion carried. The report should have read “Deb Palmer gave the Treasurers Report. Eugene Raymond made a motion to accept treasurers report. Les Armstrong seconded and the motion carried”.

Deb Palmer gave the Treasurers Report for 3-9-13 Randy Hutchison made a motion to accept the Treasurers Report, seconded by Deanna Shipper and the motion carried.

Les Armstrong showed the new signs complete with frames. They cost a total of $342.52. Deb Palmer made a motion to pay Les the $342.52. Dave Horner seconded and the motion carried.

After a discussion on Tents, Awnings, and Tables, Randy Hutchison made a motion for the Board to buy what they thought would meet the needs of the WPA with a $650.00 limit. Dave Horner seconded and the motion carried.

Jacque Schmidt made a motion to buy 6 tables that K-Mart has on Sale. Les Armstrong seconded the motion, motion carried.

Jim Brines reported on the Casper GPAA request. Dan Hausel had to cancel in April and will re-schedule in Sept. Wyoming Geologist Wayne Sutherland will give a talk March 27th in Casper at 7:00PM at the Wyoming Oil And Gas Commission Building at 2211 King Blvd.

A new computer for the Membership Coordinator was discussed. Randy Hutchison made a motion for the board to research what is available to meet the needs of the Coordinator. Gary Shipper seconded and the motion carried.

The Annual Outing was discussed. Les Armstrong made a motion to set the date for June 21, 22, 23, 2013. Jacque Schmidt seconded, motion carried. Randy Hutchison will call the landowner to get permission to use the pond property. Deb Palmer will order the Porta Potties, Les Armstrong will do the Treasure Hunt. Jacque Schmidt made a motion to table the decision on the meat until April or May meeting. Deb Palmer seconded, motion carried.

Next Meeting April 13, 2013 at Miners Grubstake in Atlantic City at 9:30AM. Weather Permitting. Mini Outing if we can get to one of the claims. Any questions Call Janiece at 307-856-1208 no later than Friday April 12th.

Backup location will be at Church of Christ at #39 Gas Hills Rd. Pot Luck lunch at 12:00 and meeting at 1:00 PM
